Abstract

The present work refers to the research of pedagogical practice, which is an effective means of introducing and improving educational changes at  the school level. After identifying the research issue and problem, the main focus of the research was determined as following: How to raise  the students' motivation in science subjects? The identified problem is widespread, its relevance is related to the less of resources needed while  studying the mentioned subjects and because of the low academic results of the students. In this study, the factors that influence the motivation of the students are discussed, the students' interests and needs are investigated as well and according to these studies the practice research interventions are aimed at the implementing diverse methods and strategies during the learning process.

The modern educational system focuses on the active teaching-learning methodology, the fundamental task of which is "learning by doing", according to this task the inclusion of experimental and practical work in the educational process will be planned and implemented, also amusing educational activities, research projects, integrated lessons and others. The students used the various electronic platforms, which helped them to understand the learning material better and how to use it in practice. In accordance with the implemented interventions, the students' motivation increased, which was reflected in their involvement in the learning process and in their academic results. This study is important because the identified problem is widespread. The interventions are highlighted that will be used not only by the science teachers, but also by the teachers of other subjects. Knowledge transfer, as well as transformation in education, requires new, the 21-st century competencies that change mental models, behaviors  at the individual, social or institutional level. More efforts are directed towards the sustainable lifestyle.

A classroom and a standard-length lesson can no longer serve as a learning space. The whole school, the surrounding natural environment, the community, economy or society should become a learning laboratory for the students from which they will be able to learn, to become experts of the local environment and easily realize the importance and need of the acquired knowledge, which will also increase their motivation.

One of the main goals of our research is to promote the motivation of the students in the science subjects and thus promote their holistic development.
