THE PROBLEM OF DEGLOBALIZATION AND THE MAIN CHALLENGES TO NATIONAL ECONOMIC SECURITY IN THE CONTEXT OF RENEWED GLOBALIZATION
Abstract
The paper examines the process of pseudo-deglobalization caused by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as Russia’s war against Ukraine and the economic sanctions against the aggressor. It is shown that deglobalization as such is in principle impossible and inexpedient. The stages of transformation of hyperglobalization are studied. Taking into account the challenges facing both the world and individual countries, it is concluded that the new globalization should be directly related to issues of economic security. The immediate challenges to economic security are high inflation, global stagflation, debt crisis, the “Oil War,” the “Food War” and others. All these challenges are both global and local.
